Garden swing assembly: from three cartons to a finished swing.
A solid Iroko swing does not leave the factory in one piece. It arrives flat-packed in three cartons. This guide covers the process from delivery day to the first swing: carton sizes, getting through doors, the space needed, the two-person assembly order and dismantling for winter.

The swing arrives flat-packed in 3 cartons (about 104 kg in total). With the key set in the box and the illustrated manual, two people complete assembly in one to two hours. Standard hand tools are enough. No anchoring to the ground is needed. For Mihenk 2400, a clear area of 320 × 200 cm and a ceiling height of 220 cm are sufficient.
How the three cartons reach your door
Orders leave the factory within 7-14 days, and the carrier calls ahead to arrange the delivery day. Three cartons arrive flat-packed: the supporting frame, the seat and back body, and the cushions. Including packaging, the cartons weigh about 104 kg in total.
The longest carton is 211 cm. Plan lifts and stair turns around this length. The carton size table for site entrances and door widths is below. The boxes can be opened on the lawn or the terrace, and assembly takes place on site.
On delivery, check the number of cartons and the outer packaging. If there is damage, have it noted on the carrier's report. Inside the boxes are step-by-step illustrated assembly instructions and all the fittings.
Location, space and two people
The swing is not anchored to the ground. A level, firm surface is enough: lawn, stone, wooden deck or terrace. Mihenk 2400 needs a clear area of 320 × 200 cm, including 60 cm front-to-back and 30 cm on each side for swinging, and a ceiling height of 220 cm. Lavinya needs a narrower area and Almila a wider one; details are in the size guide.
Assembly takes two people. The frame parts are long, and a second pair of hands is needed when the seating body is hung. The tools are in the box; nothing beyond the key set and standard hand tools is required.
Open the parts in carton order and count them against the parts list in the manual. To avoid scratching the teak-oiled surfaces on bare ground, you can use the carton board as an underlay.
Frame, body, canopy, cushions
The order in the manual is as follows. First, the supporting frame is assembled and the joints are hand-tightened. Second, the seat and back body is hung on the frame. Third, the canopy is fitted. Finally, the cushions are placed and all joints are checked and tightened.
The fittings are corrosion-resistant and invisible from the outside. Bolts are fully tightened in the last step and left half-tight during assembly so the parts can align. Do not force the wood. If a part does not seat, check the alignment.
One to two hours is a realistic time. If a step in the manual is unclear, our WhatsApp line also answers during assembly, and you can send a photo.
Back mechanism and safety
On 5-position models, the back is adjusted with a single lever. After assembly, try each position once and feel the stainless lock engage in every position. In the last position, the swing converts to a bed; the space required does not change.
The body is dimensioned for a seating capacity of 400 kg on Mihenk 2400 and 460-480 kg on Almila 2800. Within capacity, no anchoring or additional support is needed. Children should use it under adult supervision, and no one should climb onto the swing.
The canopy attaches with hooks. It does not flap in the wind and can be removed in two minutes when a storm is forecast. Cushions are brought inside in heavy rain. The fabric is water-repellent, but keeping the filling dry extends its life.
Moving, winter and reassembly
Because the swing is designed to be dismantled, it comes apart in reverse order and returns to the volume of three cartons. When moving house, it is reassembled with the same manual. Keep the fittings in a bag.
The body can stay outdoors in winter: solid Iroko does not absorb moisture. Cushions are brought inside, the canopy can be removed if you wish, and the body can be covered with a breathable tarp. Dismantling is not necessary.
In spring, one coat of Italian teak oil and a check of bolt tightness are enough. The maintenance calendar is set out month by month in a separate guide.

Frequently asked questions about assembly
How many people are needed to assemble a garden swing?
Two. The frame parts are long, and a second pair of hands is needed when the seating body is hung. Assembly by one person is not recommended.
What tools are needed for assembly?
The key set and all fittings are in the box. Nothing beyond standard hand tools is required, and power tools are not necessary.
How long does assembly take?
One to two hours with two people. The manual is illustrated, and opening the parts in carton order shortens the time.
Is the swing anchored to the ground?
No. The body is dimensioned for its seating capacity. A level, firm surface is enough, whether lawn, stone, deck or terrace.
Is there an installation service?
Yes. The optional installation service is arranged on request; simply write your city and delivery date on WhatsApp. For project and hotel orders, installation is carried out by our own team.
What should I do if I get stuck on a step during assembly?
Do not force it. Check the alignment and send a photo to our WhatsApp line; we also respond during assembly.
