Garden swing prices: the four items behind the number.

In Turkey, a garden swing can cost a few thousand lira or a few hundred thousand. The difference is not marketing. It is material and engineering. This guide explains the four items that set the price and shares our own factory prices for information. It also shows how to read the number by dividing it over the lifespan.

Quick Answer

Four items set the price of a garden swing: body wood, back mechanism, cushion fabric and warranty/sales channel. Deniz Salıncak models with a solid Iroko body cost between 145,000 ₺ and 199,000 ₺ at factory price. Canopy, cushions, shipping to all 81 provinces and a 2-year warranty are included. There is no intermediary margin.

How much do garden swings cost? 2026 market bands

In Türkiye, garden swing prices fall roughly into three bands. The entry band covers metal-frame swings with polyester cushions and wooden swings with pine or spruce bodies; according to the market data we publish on our product pages, the lower-to-mid segment averaged about 8,000 ₺ in March 2026, with a typical lifespan of 2-3 seasons. The middle band covers acacia, eucalyptus or aluminium bodies with thicker cushions; here the price varies widely with material and brand.

In the solid-hardwood band the picture changes. In autumn 2026, solid Iroko garden swings with a canopy and 4-5 seats are priced at roughly 145,000 ₺ to 190,000 ₺ on the Turkish market; the figure depends on the width of the model, the back mechanism and whether it is bought from the manufacturer or a dealer. The Mihenk 2400 factory price of 145,000 ₺ sits at the lower end of this band. The 250 cm, 5-seat Almila 2800 is slightly above it at 199,000 ₺, because of its longer timber and the position mechanism.

When comparing two prices, first check what the figure covers: are the canopy and cushion included, are shipping and installation extra, who gives the warranty? Two swings in the same band may differ: one solid, the other veneered; one with a fixed back, the other adjustable. The four items below explain that difference one by one.

01 · Wood

First item: what wood is the body made of?

Most of the price difference lies in the body. Pine and spruce are soft, inexpensive and plentiful woods. Outdoors they absorb moisture, need impregnation and varnish, and must be renewed within a few seasons. Acacia and eucalyptus sit in the middle. Teak and Iroko are outdoor-grade hardwoods with a high natural oil content and strong resistance to rot. Their timber is costly, and drying and machining take longer.

The second distinction is solid wood versus veneer. In a solid body, every part is the same wood. In a veneered or laminated body, the outer face is wood and the inner structure is another material, and the layers separate outdoors. The third distinction is drying. Kiln-dried timber does not move or crack, and the kiln and the waiting time are reflected in the cost.

The market data we publish on our product pages is as follows. A lower-to-mid segment swing with a wooden or metal frame averaged about 8,000 ₺ in March 2026, with a typical lifespan of 2-3 seasons. In a solid Iroko swing, the timber alone costs more than that entire segment. The difference shows in the price and returns in the lifespan.

02 · Mechanism

Second item: fixed back or 5-position back?

A fixed-back swing offers a single seating angle. It is simple to produce and keeps the price low. With a 5-position back, the back angle, seat depth and tilt change together. This adds a separate mechanism, a lock and labour to the body.

In the standard versions of Mihenk, Lavinya and Almila, the back adjusts in five positions: Conversation, Reading, Resting, Reclining and, in the last position, bed. The position changes with a single lever. A stainless steel lock holds the back firmly in every position. The form and the mechanism are protected by design registration.

The position system makes a difference of about 18% because of production labour and the stainless lock. The fixed-back option of Almila 2800 is 169,000 ₺, and its standard 5-position version is 199,000 ₺. If you do not need to recline, a fixed back may be enough. If you want a bed, the difference is the cost of the mechanism.

03 · Cushions and canopy

Third item: fabric and filling

On an inexpensive swing, the cushions are the first part to be replaced. The common "Oxford" cushion fabric on the market is piece-dyed polyester with a PU or PVC coating. The colour sits on the surface and fades in one or two seasons. The coating cracks and peels, and because it does not breathe, it makes you sweat in the heat.

In Solution-Dyed Olefin fabric, the colour is in the fibre itself. Its light fastness is 7-8 according to ISO 105-B02. It is water-repellent and breathes, and it does not develop mould or odour in humidity. The filling is silicone fibre, which does not sag or hold moisture. This fabric and filling add to the price of the swing, but they bring the lifespan of the cushions closer to that of the body.

On our models, the canopy and cushions are standard and included in the price. There are two colour options: mustard and anthracite. Fabric types, filling and care are covered in detail in a separate guide.

04 · Warranty and sales channel

Fourth item: who sells it, and who stands behind it?

When the same product is bought from a dealer or a marketplace, a margin is added at every link. As the distance between maker and buyer grows, it also becomes less clear who handles warranty and service.

The factory price is the first link in this chain. The figure on our product page is the factory price. The 2-year warranty covers materials and workmanship. After the warranty ends, spare parts, maintenance and repair support still come from the maker.

Included in the price: canopy, cushions in two colour options, shipping to all 81 provinces of Turkey, assembly manual and fittings, and a 2-year warranty. Not included: the optional installation service and Bespoke custom-size workmanship. Both are priced separately on request.

05 · Annual cost

Divide the price by the lifespan

With a solid Iroko body and one coat of teak oil a year, life expectancy exceeds 20-25 years. Divided over this lifespan, the 145,000 ₺ factory price of Mihenk 2400 comes to about 5,800-7,250 ₺ a year, or 16-20 ₺ a day.

This figure should not be compared with a swing replaced every 2-3 seasons. It should be compared with a piece that stays in the same garden for a quarter of a century. Every replacement means a new purchase, a new installation and a new disappointment. Luxury is not about paying less. It is about never having to think about it again.

Annual maintenance cost is low: one coat of Italian teak oil and a wash of the cushion covers, 3-5 hours in total. With no varnish, there is no sanding or repainting. The maintenance calendar is set out month by month in a separate guide.

Is there an installation fee?

The swing arrives flat-packed in 3 cartons. With the key set in the box and the illustrated manual, two people assemble it in one to two hours, at no extra cost. For the optional installation service, simply write to the maker.

When do prices change?

Prices are updated when necessary, according to timber and exchange-rate costs. The figure on the product page is the current factory price. We do not run campaigns or seasonal price reductions; the price is given for information.
